Unlike CMSimple_XH itself, many templates are provided under specific terms of use or license conditions.
Many authors of templates provide their templates under a Linkware License. This means, the template can be used free of charge, as long as a link to the author remains clearly visible in the template. If you want to remove the link, you have to purchase a Remove Link License.
Some authors however provide their templates under a Commercial License. That means in most cases:
- Free of charge with Linkware License for private sites, schools and non-profit associations only
- Small fee required with Remove Link License for private sites, schools and non-profit associations
- Commercial websites must purchase a full Commercial License.

All the downloads published or linked on this WIKI have to satisfy our quality-standards.
Encoding
Since version 1.2 CMSimple_XH is utf-8 encoded. All components for CMSimple_XH have to be utf-8 encoded (utf-8 without BOM) or working without problems in utf-8 encoded installations.
Webstandards
All components for CMSimple_XH, plugins, templates and others have to validate for html 4.01 transitional, xhtml 1.0 transitional or both. They have to be marked according the used markup-language:
- H for html 4.01 transitional
- X for xhtml 1.0 transitional
- XH for plugins, templates or others, that will validate in both markup-languages.
